you've mentioned them like once, with ur little doodle of like 7 white hearts and 1 black diamond guy. what exactly are the white hearts? are they a rivaling mercenary group?
Archangel and Doc Holiday: The White Hearts are a super-hero group that doesn't really answer to any government. Sort of like the Justice League. There's a small group of very powerful people in charge and 100 or so "hero's in training" who've been selected to have their powers trained and developed. They're self-proclaimed "good guys" and aren't paid by anybody.
They're not direct rivals with the Black Diamonds but the two groups do often butt heads.
Up to now, I knew that character as Trace. Almost all my exposure to the later One Piece stuff is of the American animated variety. Which is pretty limited itself due to the brutal editing.
I've always liked the manga though (probably tied with Hunter X Hunter for favorite character designs), and I'm hoping to get a few volumes come Christmas time.

From what I have seen they look like a semi-corrupt world police organization.
Is that body armour? I guess he'd feel rather silly if he got shot in the leg, or head, or lower stomach.
